JOHN was born on February 25th, 1893.  JOHN's father was CHRISTIAN RATH and his mother was DOROTHEA AISENBREY.  His paternal grandfather is JAKOB J RATH and his paternal grandmother was KATHERINA AISENBREY; his maternal grandparents were PHILLIPP BERNHARD (Jr.) AISENBREY and ANNA MARIA HOEHN.  He had six brothers and three sisters, named FREDERICK, JAKOB, PHILLIP, KARL, EMIL, BENJAMIN, KATHERINA, HELENA and MATHILDA.  He was the fifth oldest of the ten children.  He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named CHRISTIAN, ANDREAS, HEINRICH (HENRY) and CHRISTIANA.  He died on February 25th, 1893.
