THOMAS JOSEPH was born on February 12th, 1908 in Pennsylvania.  THOMAS JOSEPH's father was FRANCIS Joseph CONWAY and his mother was LOUISA M ROTH.  His paternal grandparents are PETER CONWAY and MARY HESTER; his maternal grandfather is JOHN ROTH and his maternal grandmother was SOPHIA GEIST.  He had eight brothers and four sisters, named FRANCIS J, PETER P., ALEXANDER, JAMES, WILLIAM FRANCIS, JACK (EDWIN) (EDWARD J), WALTER, GEORGE FRANCIS, MARY HELEN, HELEN, ANNA VIRGINIA and SOPHIE.  He was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children.  His burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery,Philadelphia,Pa..
